Abstract / Summary

A rare case study involving extramedullary relapse. Discussed during the Monthly PSH Meeting.

Patient History

A 55-year-old male presented with a two-month history of progressive lower back pain and fatigue. No prior history of malignancies was reported.

Diagnostic Findings

Peripheral smear showed rouleaux formation. Bone marrow biopsy revealed sheets of atypical plasma cells comprising 60% of cellularity.

Treatment Plan

  • Induction therapy with VRd regimen.
  • Stem cell mobilization planned for autologous transplant.
